Refugee children health concerns highlighted in new UNICEF report

A new UNICEF Humanitarian Situation Report on refugee and migrant children stressed the health, education and other social challenges faced by migrant and refugee children arriving to Europe, despite recent EU efforts such as the Communication on the protection of children in migration.
According to the report, the situation of migrant and refugee children is particularly concerning in EU countries such as Italy, Greece and Bulgaria and Germany. Health and social barriers, mentions UNICEF, can hinder children’s development and make their social inclusion more challenging.
